I love when people try to sell wheels and tires on facebook groups with ads like that..

It's especially fun when they list wheels with multiple bolt patterns as "universal" 5 bolt or whatever.. one guy a few weeks ago said his wheels would fit anything with any bolt pattern, so I asked if I could use them on my 4 lug Saturn, my 86 Camaro, my 97 Chevy with 6 lugs, and a 3/4 ton truck with 8 lug wheels.. he said they would fit everything..

So I asked about Fords with 7 lugs.. he said yes..

A coworker's daughter was dating a guy who wanted to take a road trip but had no spare or jack. He wanted to borrow them from his girlfriend's car so he would be safer on the trip. I guess that would have been fine if they drove the same or similar cars. He really didn't get it when I told him that the spare from her older full size Chevy would not work on his Honda. I tried to explain all the reasons it wouldn't work but even the 5 vs. 4 lug thing didn't resonate with him......

They are out there, in large numbers, and they vote.

Apparently to the seller "Size does not matter" :surprise: The $10 question would be - what's the backset?

All you can do with an idiot like that is.. ask what kind of car he ran them on...and go from there.. Even though he's a dumbass.. he thinks his junk is worth top dollar +..
Funny you mention this. But sometimes that wont help. I just an hour ago inquired about some nice tire/wheel combos. They are the 8 hole wheels, where it will fit 2 different , 4 lug wheel application. I asked what car he had these on, and he said a '86 Mustang GT. I looked them up and the Mustang is a 5 lug!

I stand corrected. I looked at the newer GT, by mistake and they have the 5 lug. The 86 had a 4 lug in "86

yeah, every factory built Mustang built from 1974 to 1992 except for the 84-86 SVO had 4 lug wheels..

These were the wheels I just inquired about. I think its a good deal at $100 each. But again, notice the ad mentions nothing pertaining to what these fit.

them there are 4 bolt universal rims... they will fit anything with a 4 bolt pattern... the guy selling them will ask you what you have and tell you that they will definitely fit when you ask what they fit.. backspacing/offset isn't important at all as long as your car is 4 bolt.
