Need help on Chevelle Pricing

I am looking at a 1968 Chevy Chevelle Malibu. This car is OK. it has a 350 V-8 with a 280 cam. it has a 3000 stall turbo 350 trans with a B&M Pro-Ratchet Shifter. it has 190cc Aluminum heads, 1.6 roller rockers, a Edelbrock Performer RPM AirGap intake Manifold, a Holley 750 cfm Carb, 3" exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. it has a 12 bolt posi rear end with 3.73 gears. it has and ok interior, except for the trunk it has little holes all through it. the guy wants $10,500 for it. I want make more of a daily driver by putting a/c and power brakes and steering in it and replace that trunk floorpan. Could someone help me see what it might be worth or what I need to negotiate to?

To ME none of the things listed above with the exception of the 12 bolt posi adds anything to the value.
However the price seems to be pretty much in line, depending on what's under the pretty paint.
I don't see how the car could do anything but appreciate from there, especially if the 70-72 stripes were removed.

A lot of the value question is related to where the car is located. Although people will travel great distances for special cars, most others will be sold locally.

From what I see I would say that ~ $9k is more on the mark. A lot of the +/- of the value will be tied to the quality of the body and paintwork, like how straight it really is. You may find that the seller is too tightly wrapped up in all the work and effort he has put into the car. One of the interesting things about that car is that the exhaust goes UNDER the differential - normally that causes interference issues with the differential.

Otherwise I like what I see in the pictures, it looks good.

This one is a prime example of the schooling I got on mine. Thanks again men. I will bring mine to this condition shortly and keep my performance engine.

This is a nice car. I would check it over well though. That trunk most likely didn't rust for nothing. Crawl in it and look up behind the rear glass and the filler and quarter edges. From what I have learned, that is the chevelle sweet spot for rusting.

I don't know exactly how accurate this,but it's a ballpark figure.. For a- good lookin driver- (not a show car) I would go much over loan pricing, as a top dollar price to pay for any car.!!. Be sure to look at the (collector car condition guide) on this web site... http://manheimgold.com/
