Chris,

The "Marietta Gang" took first, second, and third places in eliminations. :D

DanaB (Dana Buccini) with his SB '69 finished first ($100 and trophy),
Georgia69 (Mike Newby) was second ($50 and trophy),
I finished third ($25)...broke out against Mike in the semis.

Quickest ET of the night was a 6.66 @ 105.53 ;)

Also, Marooned's SB '65 put on quite a showing with those wheel standing launches! That little SB is awesome...ran 6.80s
What makes it even more amazing is there was ZERO track prep. As the night went on, traction even got worse.

There are some pictures in another post in Bench Racing.

EDIT: wait, is that danab in the 5 th pic down right hand lane on the link you posted?

Mike
He ran pretty good in our old car with a few updates, I know he is running a 383 stroker now.

The car still looks really good.

Scott, have to admitt, your rig looked cool in the picture with you all hooked up and ready to head to CB. The Tahoe with the Velle on the trailer ready to head out, cool pic. Makes you think, thats what I should be doing.. NOT!!! not from Cali.

Who was the quickest at 2005??

If there is a post about the race results I missed it, so who had the quickest ride, BB and small block and who was fast with a stick car???

Re: Who was the quickest at 2005??

Bill Burke was quickest overall, 6.66 at 105 I think, with his NA 540 and TH400. Mike (Marooned) went something like 6.84 with his 383 on spray. I have no idea who was quickest with a stick, Tom Parsons was the only car I recall seeing run with a stick.

Re: Who was the quickest at 2005??

Both Mike Pell (454-Tremec TKO) and Rick Hornback (427-Muncie) were running '69's with sticks. They were both turning 8.20's. Mike's was the tubbed and Pro-Streeted blue Malibu with black top and Rick's was the burgundy SS with black hood stripes.
