a while back a company offered 1/2" fuel pickup conversions(cant find them now)-i dont want to install a bottom sump, but need a larger fuel line-i have tried everywhere to find 1/2" steel line(stainless & alum avail), i was going to redo my stock pick-up, solder the line in where the 3/8 was and reattach fuel float

I have been using copper. It's not the greatest stuff but for only a foot or so into the tank it seems to be working.

I used cooper ,and drill a hole very close to the existing pickup line ,I did not want to take any chances to damage the float welding it at the other pick up line. It is a little tight to pass the float in the tank but works ,I only need to upgrade my 120gph pump to a 172 gph .good luck .
