Anyone know who sales a nice looking set of billet hood and trunk hinges for a 1970 chevelle ? I have a glass hood so I hope they will work out ok for me. I have did some research and there is a lot of folks out there selling of course the big names being. Billet specialities .....eddy motor sports....fesler however you best brake out your wallet cause your going to drop some money..

Anyrate back to the question I'm just looking to see if any of you have purchased some and you are satisfied with whomever you purchased from.
Please if you can include a pic along with price and purchase information thank you....

I have a set Of Fesler and a set of Eddies Motor sports Hood hinges for a 1970 Chevelle.
I would go with the Eddies imop. You will find people that have had good luck with both.

Things to consider.

As the hinges open and close will the assembly rub diffrent components that make up the hing cousing damage?

Will they hold the hood up? (In your case with the Fiberglass hood you should be ok with any)

Customer service. Who is the best to deal with should you have a problum?

Send me a private email if you would like to know more.

Also I will be placing a set of Fesler Hinges on Ebay in a few days. Your welcome to bid on them. You might save some money if you decide to go with Fesler. They are new in the box.

Thanks
Keith

You liked the EMS over the Fesler? Curious to know what the issues are outside of the allusions in your post. I was going to buy a set of Fesler's for my '67...

1hot67 I refuse to post in a public form what problems I have or haven't had with a product or the people that sell them. What I have seen in the past when people do that is that it accomplishes nothing as everyone has there own opinion. Most of the time they are just that opinions not based on fact or actual experience with different manufactures of the same product or component.

I have had experience with both one worked out very well the other not some much. I have had meny people ask me in privet and all I tell them is exactly what happened.

Oh and by the way yes I have heard the statement "we've never had that problem before" and "you did something wrong" more than once and I don't believe it anymore about $500k of experience in part purchase later I know better.

I like everyone here have had my share of product related problems. Any of the junk that I have bought and refused to put on my car I sell to someone who thinks its great. Hay works for me LOL.

I love how the EMS hinge is better when its a direct copy of the Fesler hinge. They dont build cars so they dont know how to build parts for them. Bash us all day long Fesler still has the better parts because we build them on the cars we build in house... If you have issues there are lots of reasons and some cars they just dont work. EMS uses a strut that is way too stong so sure it works for now but what will happen when it gives out down the road. WE REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING THAT MAY HURT SOMEONE DOWN THE ROAD. We cant please everyone and we are sorry for the ones that we could not help. IF EMS worked out for you great but when it fails dont call us asking us what to do. We get calls daily on this so watch out...

You can pick up the phone and call anytime we are always here 480-748-2000 and we build everything in house including the cars we dont buy parts and copy them.

So I found someone that had a pair of Chris Fesler billet door jamb vents for my I pro street 70 Chevelle and I knew once I made the buy that I'm now going to have to put Fesler hood and trunk hinges on this car. Don't get me wrong this is not a bad situation and Fesler makes a
Beautiful product I just simply can't afford them therefore that's why initially i had asked about what everyone is using and what is the best price??
