Wonder if anyone here has a recommendation for ls springs with a turbo. What would be the seat and open pressure for a stock Z06 /LS6 cam. Im sure I will not get many responses because this is really not in the performance section. I was going to run Pac 1218's but the single spring scares me if the spring breaks.

The cam you are talking about requires LS6 valve springs, or the equivalent...these are the "blue"-.570" lift springs you hear people talk about

These have to be the bargain of the century from GM...brand new I paid $53.95 for the set!!!

The "Z06/LS6" cam is ground on a reduced base circle so longer pushrods are a requirement also...

Hi Mike,
How are the LS6 springs different from the LS3 springs?

Lift is one thing..turbo pressure is another.

Mike,Those blue springs only have 90 lbs seat pressure not good for a turbo. Are you putting a turbo on your car? Im thinking of seat pressure in the 130 to 145 range. Dual springs instead of beehives so it will hold the rpm with heavy truck valves.

Steve everything I've read so far says "spec the springs for the cam in low boost applications"...I don't know how much boost you plan on making, but from my research till you get into the crazy boost ranges, or plan on running the newest crazy mondo "cam of the week" cam...you will be fine with stock to just slightly over stock seat pressures...

And yes I am planning on turbo/turbos eventually...I just don't plan on extreme boost conditions, or a goofy cam that will require crazy seat pressures for a street driven application.

I think for what your doing you are right on the money with those specs and dual's...

I don't want to come of as some kind of expert in this field because lord knows I'm not...the reason I went with these springs for now is I'm trying to show you don't have to break the bank to get into the "LS" world...

EDIT: I may be a little biased today...I just started my LS6 cammed 5.3L budget "Project Greenbrier" yesterday for the first time...very happy with how it sounds...If the temp claws its way into double digits today a test drive just might be in order.:D

I have to apologize for any confusion...the "LS6" springs came on the 5.7L 2001-2004 LS6 Corvettes...they are still an LS3/Generation III series spring that came out originally in 1997.

Mike not to worry i'm in the same boat. I have yellow springs and put them online for sale. Im going to a dual spring for returning the heavy truck valve back to the seat reason. Not sure what im going to run for boost but im not going to boost the snot out of it. I have 862 heads on my motor. All I can say is that even tho the blue springs are super cheap in price but for rpm and boost im going duals.
