The first part is when I first recieved it then when I first started it but it jumps about 7 or 8 months to the new pics but I wanted to show it off. There are a lot of in process pics that I will be putting on here in the future but I getting the bug now that it finally looks like a car again so hopefully by summer I will be driving it. Thanks for the help on here its a great site.

Well I didn't and only because its a hardtop and the floors were very good no rot at all so I didn't worry about it. I have had it off before and put everything back on (fenders, doors ect) to check fit and it all seems fine I just made sure the rotisseri was constructed well and that it has four points of mounting on the front and back. It rotates very easily actually and will balance without any pin in it when its 90 degrees. I have heard though you should tie the doors in if its a convertable though. Thanks for the reply.

Looks great .. I'm just behind you in my project, body on rottissiere waiting for paint, chassis, motor done waiting for body
..Question I see you have Hotchkiss 1 3/8 front sway bar ... were you able to use the original swaybar bracket mounting holes or did you redrill 2 new ones ?? just mounting mine and looks like may not be able to make brackets fit stock holes

That is a hot ride. I really like what you did with the A arms and the big block, makes it look real stealthy.
As for the color, ive alwasy liked marina blue. Looks electric, i cant wait to see it done!

Thanks a lot for the kinf words all I feel like I have finally acomplished something now that its back together. Yeah I really like the a arms too its kind of different I powdercoated them silver and with the springs it gives it a nice look. To all that want the rotisseri plans no problem just give me a few days I designed everything in cad software which if anyone can use it I could probably send you a dxf file or something or I will try to do a .jpg of everything and post it also. I have everypiece drawn and where it needs to be cut and how much of which bars you need and where to cut them for optimal use of metal. I think it cost arond $250 in steel and most of that was for the round pieces if you could find them at a better price its like half of the cost. Everything else is just my time which took one night and a couple of beers for me and a friend.
As far as the sway bar goes I don't know if you read my post earlier which I assume you did but the guy from hotchkis told me to grease them real good and squeeze them together. Well thats easier said than done but what i did is i made a little block on a mill that looked like a "c" basically that fits between where the bolt goes on each side then i used a c-clamp to squeeze them together and where its cut out like a "c" I was able to put the bolt through there if you know what i mean otherwise there isn't much too clamp to and even if you can then its impossible to get the bolt in but it did work finally but I had my doubts. Thanks again when I get the other pics scan i will post again i have a lot of when i put the new goodmark quarter on and stuff which i think came out nice.

What an incredible looking 66. I have been inspired. I'm not sure exactly how much yet, but I have definitely been inspired to put some genuine effort into my 66 convertible. It will have to wait until probably next winter to get started because I'm in the process of buying a larger house and doing some remodeling so more than all of my $$ and time are currently spoken for.
I grew up in a some small towns around Kalamazoo, as a matter of fact, quite a bit of family still lives in/around the town of Climax. I moved away just before high school and have only been back 2-3 times in the past 20 years.
Anyway, the 66 looks GREAT! Keep up the good work, it will continue to inspire many of us I'm sure.

Thanks for the info ....yes I did see your post however i was curious to know if you made it work by squeezing the bracket ...sounds like you made it work but didn't the bushing become so distorted that the bar binds ??

Well I don't know about it binding yet it seems to move freely enough but the bushing actually doesn't look too bad. I thought it would be worse if it does give me problems I will have to drill n tap a new hole I suppose but as you can see it will be a little while till its finished.
