What he is asking (I think) is what the Malibu and Malibu SS trim looked like and how they differed.
The Malibu SS had trim running from above the headlight all the way along the top of the fender, door and rear quarter and curved down to the bumper. The car had wheel opening moldings and a rocker molding which was continued behind the rear wheel to the bottom edge of the bumper.
If I recall correctly, the Malibu did not have the top-of-the-fender molding, that was only on the SS. It did make use of a spear of trim from the headlight to the tail of the car, but this piece ran along the horizontal mid-point of the body. It also had wheel opening moldings and a set of rocker moldings but did not include the rear wheel opening to rear bumper rocker molding as used on the SS only.
The 300 I believe used a mid-body spear of trim but did not use the wheel opening molding or the rocker moldings.
