Indeed -- worked fine.

I do get all of the program in a window and when I hit alt+enter I get no window but a a full screen wide with 1/2 screen of black underneath the program but the program itself works fine.
Hmmm... This is really odd. I can't even picture what you are seeing though, I guess. Something definitely wrong there -- full screen should be exactly that -- with no black underneath. Unless the laptop just plain doesn't support that text mode -- which I guess is possible, actually. At least, with the current driver.

I'd agree with Gene for the next step: Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video...

So -- if you do Start->Run and just put in "cmd" and run it -- what does that look like? If it is in a window, then do alt-enter and tell me what THAT looks like. Is it still half a screen? Or no? If not, then try going into your directory and running that program manually -- and see how it behaves in that Command window...

Got it (sorta)

I downloaded the new driver and now I can get a full screen IF I use 800 X 600

To answer your question if I switch back and forth using alt + enter I get a 3/4 window one way then a screen with no window that is full in width but 1/2 black screen under the program the other way.
using the start>run>command doesen't seem to be any different that clicking on my desktop shortcut icon.
It acts the same if I go to my computer>assist folder and click on file.exe

I haven't even tried to mess with the laptop yet :(
