BigBlockEric,

I live in Foothill Ranch. It is closed to Newport Beach. Take the 133 North and you'll hit Foothill Ranch.

It is South of Irvine.

Thanks.

Some of you had mentioned you can't find the ad in the "Parts for Sale" section.

I checked and it is listed.

If you can't find it, email me and I give you prices on the motors.

Don't want to list the price here or I'll get a good spanking.

tonyr@melissas.com

Thanks.

By the way, I have pics of my new block. I'll be posting it soon.

I'm not defending Tony or ragging Todd, but when you think about it this whole hobby is stupid. Cars are for transportation. Yet they invoke emotion. Its not "logical' for us to spend this much money on these things when we could all drive Hondas instead. So, whatever floats Tony's boat is OK by me.
On the other hand, I would never get a new motor due to an intake leak or spend 5,000 on a new car because the old one had dirty windows.
But, hey, whatever... Live and let live.

I don't see why anyone should have a problem with your new motor. In the construction field, I see what people spend on "strange" things for their homes. I have no animosity towards them. I just do what they want, and charge them for my work. Everyone benefits. The homeowner, suppliers, and trades are all happy.
Your project is what gives guys that don't have your kind of cash, the nerve to spend some money on their cars. If you can spend fifty thousand on yours, I guess I can spend two on mine. That's the effect it has on me. Maybe I'm wierd.
Hopefully, your kids have food and don't live in a dilapidated shack with a dirt floor, while your tearing up the neighborhood.
When my wife, and her relatives, ask me when my car is going to be done, my answer is always "never". I don't think any of us are ever totally satisfied with our cars. That's what keeps it interesting. Good luck and keep posting updated pictures. Your car is beautiful. It's on the screen savers on both computers at work. The secretary hates them.

monkeyboy,

Thanks! It makes sense to some, and doesn't to others.

As greatly stated earlier, thank god to 31 flavors (ice cream).

Also, I do have my priorities in line. My wife is 5 months pregnant. Let's just say we've saved enough money for his college education. This is not to brag. This is to indicate our priorities.

I'll post more pics tomorrow.

Thanks!
