Damn,,,,,,, 1.45/inch,, that is insane torque for just 11.4 compression :hurray:

Very nice indeed :beers:
Do you remember the 540 I did a couple years ago with the TR that made 909 hp@6200 and 823#/ft @ 5200 on pump? Those Canfields were 316cc's and this was a very similar build except the TR, which accounts for the 50hp 50#/ft it has over Kai's.
The numbers are real.

BIG smile on my face. Congrats gentlemen! This motor kind of brings back memories for me in some small way as Im an Upstate NYer and spent many many weekends with the Super Modifieds from Oswego NY. Those Weld heads were 'must haves'. It also stands as a testament to sound design and implementation for everyone involved. Ken would be proud of this one Im sure.

Nate,
Those engines were BADAZZ! I cammed Kenny Tremonts ride for a few years when working with Joe Petelle at HVH. I agree with you Kenny was way ahead of the pack back then.

Those heads were designed for the Super Mods up in NY state years ago. Fully decked out with Ti valves and their dedicated intake they were about $7500 a set. If I am not mistaken, I think they are around 10 years old.

Wow...looks like they flat out work incredible...and you've figured out how to get even more out of them!

It's just insane what these things can make these days!

Congratulations to all!

PS- any pics of those heads?

looking good Kai....850...oh yawn....how ordinary of you....:D...

Since the lash adjustment didn't work and the spacer didn't really change HP that much Scott feels it needs more intake volume in the intake itself. Now that said, I told Kai it would make 812HP. He is stoked, still smiling as of Sunday so at this point get it in the car and have fun.

Thanks for all the Kudos but the a big thanks to Kai for believing in a Pecker Power Camshaft!

Chris, what is the intake volume of this head, how much more intake volume is he thinking it needs. Do you guys think the head needs more volume, or the intake, or both?

Heads are plenty big and I'm just guessing on the intake. It was rough-cast form Brodix and needed fully porting. I'm in no way saying it wasn't done right, I'm just curious about how it was done. I'm guessing the runner openings might be a tad on the smalll side for the combination to run a little more upstairs than it is. It definitely likes the plenum volume and having the carb way up.
