Dear Gene,
I realize its been awhile since you heard from me, but you have to
understand this was an enormous undertaking involving half a dozen engineer
and tech types from not only at Tonawanda, but from others in the
Corporation who were involved with Manufacturing Development.
The jury is now in, ALL motors produced for 1967 through 1972 did carry the
Number #1 Team Logo.

Had one or two of the people we had to assemble for this task not been
available, this would never have been completed. GM does not keep historical
records any longer at the manufacturing sites. Historical pieces and
information is being handled at one main facility now, and even they did not
have this information.
