One word...Afterbirth

First thought. Looks like an SUV or Crossover with a Camaro roof stuck on it!!!!! The term fugly comes to mind.

What a joke. I always heard that they were ashamed of what the chevelle had become in the 70s and changed the nameplate to malibu and there was an unwritten rule that no chevelle would be produced again until it was a car worthy of the name. That thing in the photo is not at all worthy. Probably gets good gas mileage though!!

They can't sell their over priced garbage so they resurrect the names of the past...
..All the car companies can go bankrupt!!!!
^^^ Winner.

They can't even get the traditional styling cues correct. Wimpalas with two round taillights? Challengers with four doors?

The new stuff may or may not be reasonable cars, but they're a disgrace to the old name.

Known as the Code 130R, this car would be based on the same RWD platform as the Caddy ATS. I doubt this will happen since the next gen Camaro is moving to this platform as well so you would have 2 coupes both of similar proportions.
where have I seen those cars before??? oh yeah:

It fits tight in line except they didn't actually make it, as they did the awful nova of the 80's-90's, or all these newer malibus. I like the looks of the newest Malibu with the high end trim package.....nice car. Anyways, this thing has a real Hyundai feel to it or some kind of daewoo look about it. I just don't like it. I'd rather see them break out the tooling from the first Gen cavaliers than make this thing.

GM needs to make 3 size cars...each size available as coupe sedan and wagon, with your choice of 4, 6, or 8 pistons. And make em look cool.

Yup, those concepts have been out for a while. IMO, they are more suited as for the Cobalt nameplate. Not bad cars but more suitable for your typical point A to point B car. Although the fastback style car on the right doesn't look too bad compared to the one on the right. Reminds me of that model Scion makes though with a similar body style.
