Hard to watch the second half. Ravens just beat Pats, even with the officials on the Pats side. Crummy officials didn't cheat enough for NE to win. Pats still didn't have much offense more then 5-10 yards downfield. That hurts when you get behind as much as they were. Defense played like they have in the past, just couldn't make stops when they had to.

I am always impressed with Boldan and today was no exception. Hope Lewis can go out as a runner up, and not a SB champ. I just have a hard time watching him and knowing his history.
Go Niners.

What History would that be, he was cleared of the incident after the Super Bowl. Go Ravens.

Woh totally forgot they did that already I might have put the mush on them.:noway:
Todays NFL is screwed up, time was if your team was up by 17 well into the second quarter you could almost always count on a win.Its like having a shutdown defense is almost a lost art nowadays.

Not true actually...Lewis plea bargained and plead guilty to a lessor charge. :(

Quote from SI article in June 5, 2000:
A judge Monday approved a deal allowing Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis to avoid murder charges and jail time by pleading guilty to a misdemeanor and testifying against two co-defendants.

Lewis pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and Superior Court Judge Alice D. Bonner sentenced Lewis to 12 months' probation, the maximum sentence for a first-time offender. Under the terms of the sentence, Lewis can not use drugs or alcohol during the duration of the probation.

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard refused to say how the plea agreement was brokered but said his office made the right decision to prosecute Lewis.

Lewis was indicted on murder charges, along with his two friends. Lewis' attorney worked out a plea bargain in exchange for him testifying against his friends. He pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice for not telling the truth and for "losing" his white suit which evidently had the victims blood on it.
The NFL fined him $250 thou and he eventually made a cash settlement with the two murdered guys families to keep from facing a civil suit. He had a one year probation as part of the plea deal.

He went on to become a Christian and fathered 6 children with 4 different women.

And people think Manti's draft status might be hurt becuase of his made up girlfriend! If you can catch a ball, nothing else matters.

Would it be possible that maybe his two friends accepted some type of payment so as to not bring Lewis into it, thereby allowing him to keep making millions and to provide payments for all the other people involved.

Though it has been 13 years ago, the two murdered men are still dead, they get no second chance.

To this day, I'll never understand why the NFL let it go down the way it did.
