For 12 bucks it might be worth a shot I'm just worried about the mounting of the mirror

You can take the easy way out and just glue the tab to the windshield……getting it attached to the factory chrome drop post takes a little work :)

I'm having a tough time finding a used mirror with the tab

It’s a car.. only so much you can do… but the answer is no…. actually the back of the mirror is “v” shaped. The same could be said about door panels or anything else for that matter…. The left one is 2 feet away the right is 4 or 5 feet away, completely throwing off the sound dynamic….

Doesn’t mean I’m going to take out the 4 speed and center console and mount one bucket in the middle :D

I see your point though.. “if” they were firing forward it would probably suck from the middle….. These are reflecting off the windshield and it’s essentially dispersing the sound.

I also have a sound processor that changes the timing of each speaker so the sound stages where you want it.

Didn't know I could get the tab locally I'm looking at the mirror idea

well I went ahead and bought a rear view mirror and well see what happens.

Awesome, I don't think you'll regret it :) If you do hate it for whatever reason.... your only out 15 bucks or so..... I installed at AutoSound & More, here in Omaha for about 5 years. I've done about 1/2 a dozen this way and never had one come back..... :D

Cool sounds good I'll give it a shot and like you said if I don't like it I'm out 15-20 bucks so no big deal. Right now I'm trying to finish up my alarm install and painless wiring so I can get the dash fully installed.

70 nialator I don't know if you saw my audio install but check out the last few pages of the "junk in the trunk" thread

Looks pretty wicked too if you do it right and are into the 'show' thing... ;) I personal prefer stealthy stuff... mostly because it lessens the chance of your stuff getting jacked...

It'll definitely put some highs right in your face :beers:

I'll ck out the " junk in trunk" .... still kind of love this stuff.

Yeah I like the stealth look cause of theft thats why I'm putting in an alarm system with 2 way paging and tilt sensor. I hate thief's and heaven help the next one I catch.

WOW, those are some crazy venting ports in the rear, LOVE it... Why the huge trim plate on the head unit.... did you cut too wide ;)

Is that Dakota digital I see there too? NICE!

I went easy in this one.. pre fabricated kicks (hate the vents), etc...

I paid a place to cut the dash and make the trim ring it came out larger than I would have liked but I'll live with it. There are no venting ports it's a sealed box.

I'm just not a huge fan of Audibahn but I wanted this build to include companies I had never used before

I'm not real partial to them either I got them for free for updating a website :)
You have done some nice work, wasn't dogging you at all... it's impressive

Thanks a lot of what I'm doing is first time ever (that box was my first box build ever with first time ever doing fiberglass). I am really trying to get this car on the road but it's not going very quick (damn school takes up too much time)

I got bored and found them.. :)

Cool stuff there I wish my trim ring would have came out to look like yours but oh well at least it kinda matches the dash
