I suspect you are correct that the Custom Bikes are dying out. Same goes for the cars, regulations, gas cost, insane prices for rust buckets and of course every rust bucket and finished car out there is super rare so the $$$$ keep getting inflated.

As for the show. Another example of the dumbing down of America. People actually sit around and watch that crap instead of doing things that produce results. Paint a room, trim the landscaping..I dunno get off our backsides and DO SOMETHING! When I sit down and turn the TV on (not often anymore) I just wanna barf. The content of the shows is SOOOOOOOOO lame. "Reality Shows" "The Kardashians" "Walking Dead" and now even a follow on discussion show about Walking Dead called "Talking Dead". I see this as I surf desperately looking for something that will catch and hold my attention. The History Channel used to be good, no more...endless take offs on American Pickers, reruns of shows about dwarfs. WHAT A WASTE. Much rather read a book or turn a wrench.
I cancelled all my cable over a year ago. Now if I want to watch something, I put in a movie. It was tough to get used to at first, but I don't miss cable at all. If I need to keep up on news, I have the Internet.

Right on!!

Like Kyle, we shut down our dish about 3-4 years ago and don't miss it at all. If we see a DVD or DVD set that we like we buy it. It's a lot cheaper than paying for the dish every month and not watching it. Most of the shows are totally hopeless. My winter project is renovating our basement and one room is already mostly finished. Three more to go. Just waiting on some oak trim and Dale has her fresh sewing and quilting room to set up. Beats the hell out of sitting in front of the idiot box and we are actually accomplishing something. I might go brain dead from old age but it won't be from vegetating away. I can get all the info I need right here on my computer and order what I want here too.

Reality show? not a chance, you wanna see a reality show? Watch the Amazing Race, were folks fly around the world and have to accomplish tasks to move on in the show.

The upside is that Racheal will be back on the market inside of a year now that Paulie's money is drying up.

So there is a chance! :)

About ****ing time! The first 1/2 season was mildly entertaining watching those clowns build those gaudy, ugly, impractical, "theme" bikes, but then the novelty quickly wore off. Did not watch it after that except to torture myself for a few minutes occasionally. Ever notice that any real bike riders do not have bikes like those. If you have ever ridden one, you know why

I had the opportunity to take the OCC Miller bike for a ride around town for a few minutes (Miller is headquartered right here) and while I love that bike, it is not made for riding!! The stretch on it is very uncomfortable and with my limited riding experience tough to handle.
