How low is you guy's cars in the front? I think mine is sitting too low. I have 200lb Santhuffs and I can barely get a floor jack under the crossmember. (BBC Dart block, alum heads). It sits like a low rider in front LOL. Lower a-arms are flat.

I have stock Moog (HD I believe) springs in the back and it sits too high in back. (295 DR and bottom of fender is at almost top of tire)

It has serious rake and I think its hurting the weight transfer. I think the 200s are too weak.

I have a long way to go on 60ft. 1.5 is my best (just one outing so far).

You definitely don't want a drag car to sit at a "serious rake". Either bring the front up, or lower the rear end - sounds like raising the front is the best fix in your situation. Another problem with "serious rake" is that your driveline/pinion angles are probably way out of the recommended ranges. Fix the ride height issues first, then work on driveline angles. You will be surprised at the performance gains you will see.

I have the 250 Moroso's in the front and BMR 2" lowering in the back (with a 29" tire)...the front is low like you describe but doesn't seem to have any trouble transferring the weight, it will still pull the front wheels a good 2 feet....it's more about where the IC is, mine's a little short but low so it still works pretty good. I could raise the ride height another inch and get the IC about perfect but I don't like the ass end being up that high....and it's all about looking good you know...;)

here's what it looks like....

Davey, you have 250s and I have 200s. I think thats the issue, I have like 3" of room between the headers and ground. I really don't want to smash those new Lemon's either.

Calculated Risk, I am going to try a set of coils 12" 150 like you have. I got a new set of QA1s off fleabay for $40

I wish I had some useable feedback for ya, but I haven't had mine out since the changes. I put 225 santhuffs, 2" drop BMR's, and an ARB in, and it sits pretty level, just a slight rake. I can't believe how low Davey's sits with the Moroso's, but they have been known to settle quite a bit. I can only imagine it will work better than the big rake and No-Hops mine was sporting before. Hopefully some testing soon.

With 200lb Santhuffs mine was about a half inch off the lower bump stop, swapped in the TRZ's and it dropped some more, spring pocket is lower in the TRZ's. I then purchased a half inch polyurethane spacer and put it on top of the spring to get ride height. I think Garret may use a spacer on top and bottom after he installed TRZ's.

1/2" Front Coil Spring Spacer = 1" Lift ( Aluminum) Coil Spring Spacers are used to raise the vehicle up if its too low, leveling it, and for weight jacking if the car is being raced. For most applications, coil sprig spacers are installed under the coil spring between the coil and the lower control arm. Some are installed on top of the coil spring between it and the frame. We offer three styles of spacers: Aluminum, Polyurethane, and Rubber. The applications determine which is available. Selecting a coil spring spacer for the front end has a simple formula you must remember, one-inch at the spring equals two-inches at the body. This applies to all Ford and GM models we deal with. Example 1: Lets say you want to raise your 1969 Camaro one-inch in the front. You would purchase two 1/2-inch spacers; one for each side. They install between the lower arm and spring. Your ride height will go up one full inch. Example 2: Lets say you want to raise the front of your GTO 1-1/2 inches because you cut to much off the spring. Using the formula one at the spring is two at the body, 3/4-inch spacer is required to lift the front end up 1-1/2 inches. Ford works the same way. Rear spring spacers are available in polyurethane or aluminum. All of the rear spacers that raise the vehicle are made out of aluminum. Polyurethane is used for replacing the factory spring cushion. The formula for the rear GM models is one to one. Therefore if you want to raise the car 3/4 of an inch, use a 3/4 inch spacer. Ford Models 1979-04 Mustangs rear follow a different formula. To keep matters simple we have listed the lift for the three spacers we provide. NOTE: Non-independent rear. Part# 1200- will lift the rear 5/8 of an inch Part# 1201- will lift the rear 7/8 of an inch Part# 1202- will lift the rear 1-1/4 inches

You can use these 1" spacers for the front without changing the current front springs you have....

I also think a 26" tire is pretty short for that car...you'll have more adjustment for your lights by going to at least a 27.....;)

2 left springs? What do you mean?
rear Moroso Trick Springs come with a taller right spring to compensate for the suspension twist...
