Is there supposed to be that much play in the cable indicated by the blue arrow?

Also for the red arrow do both springs contact to the side of the bracket wall?

Sorry for the basic questions, but im learning.

Hey thans for the info. But, to be the biggest pain that I can be, when you talk of switching the cable ball and nut where exactly is this. I am lost. Is there a recommended manual that I can pick up to increase my knowledge? Thanks!

pop the throttle cable off the ball stud on the throttle lever. take the nut off the stud and turn it around so the ball is on the outside and the nut on the inside.

Take the springs off and flip them over so the hook enters the tab on the lower throttle lever from the outside. You may have to re-hook the stationary end some other way.

clip off most of the extra trans cable sticking out the front. Nothing good can come of having excess stuff hanging around the throttle linkage.
