Why do threads disappear?

look at the bottom of the main page in each forum.. there is a place where you can choose how far back you want to go with the posts that are displayed. if you have it set to see posts from the last day, then you will only see threads that have been posted to in the last day.

Not on the Supporting Vendors list. Where do you see them as a sponsor?

Edit >never mind they are a sponsor, not a Supporting Vendor.

They're still posting special offers in the "sponsors" forum as of yesterday.

No big deal. Wasnt trying to trash them just stating facts. And if I get my wheels which I believe I will all will be well. If you do business that way it will always catch up to you. I think the new owner is trying. Hate he stepped into what he did but good service and honesty go a long way. Delivering top notch service and good value will heal Driverz Inc up for sure.

Don's post did not come across as trashing them, nor did the one I read on "another" forum. It was well written and presented the facts.

Their sponsorship has nothing to do with my decisions, I have no problems deleting and moving sponsors threads either.

We have to watch the legal side of the things posted so the owners of the forum do not waste money in litigation.
I will update you soon on the decision but it will probably go into the ratings and review section.

how does moving it to a different section protect from litigation? is it a private members only section?

Only threads that that are well written, factual and not bashing can be in the R & R section.
All threads that have any resemblance to a vendor bashing are removed pending reviews.
The mods here all have real jobs too, so sometimes it may seem like things are moving slow. These type of reviews require a more than one person to make a decision.
I did a Google search on the company, it was enlightening. My suggestion would be to do one before a major purchased is being made.

You obviously do not understand what the moderators job is. We enforce the site rules and keep the peace among members, nothing more. We do it on our own time without compensation.
The site is owned by a corporation, they pay the bills to keep this forum online. Advertising helps pay the bills and in no way does being a sponsor mean anyone is endorsing them. As with all advertising, whether it is a magazine, television, sponsor or Supporting Vendor the buyer needs to be diligent to protect themself.

Ray how many does it take to misspell the name :D

BTW the thread was restored for now if it gets ugly it will disappear forever.
