I am not real sure where i should post this. The PO did an auto to manual swap and realy butchered the floor. I am going to by the 4 speed hump and weld it in place but I have a couple of questions.

1. Does anyone have a picture of the size hole that should have been cut out for this swap? I thing the PO cut the hold bigger than what the replacement hump would cover.

2. do I "butt" weld the hump or is it welded to the top of the hump?

Thanks
Wade

I cut the hole as little as possible but with plenty of room for shifter. Than the hump, I didn't want to weld it thinking for some reason I may want to remove it some day for what ever. So I sealed it and screwed it on.
Your hole was cut excessive on the right side of shifter and rear . Not sure hump will cover that part.

Thanks guys! So the hump lays on the tunnel and then is tack welded in using the 3\8 drilled holes. Sounds easy enough.

Any suggestions on how I can close the hole up some that the PO butchered?

Thanks

What I am thinking is, put the shifter in reverse and then butt weld a peice of 18 guage in the hole. Then pull the shifter back into 2nd or 4th and but weld a peice in the back. This way I know I wont have shifter interference. Make sense???

I would get the new hump and lay it where it's supposed to fit first. You will see immediately where you need material to fill in. You can make a cardboard or paper template of the flange and lay it on the floor to give you a better visual. It may be cut out too much on the right hand side of the shifter.

Here's a pic I had for reference:

Thanks guys! This is exactly what I needed. I went to lowes tonight and they only had 16G and 22G steel. I think one is to thick and the other is to thin. I'll go to tractor supply tomorrow and see if I can find some 18 or 20G. Looks like I need to make an NPD run into Charlotte Friday to get the hump, console brackets and bucket seat brackets. Glad all this stuff will be under the carpet so no body can see how bad my welding is....
