How much did you get it for? Is he going to end the eBay auction?

Tri is a perfect example why all this works. He was ready set go on the car in his area and questions arised. Now he has a car well back of that money that is being bought with confidence sight unseen. Glad to have him here.

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner Tri. I would have beat you to the car had I read my email sooner........ ;) Great car and should have brought a LOT more money which surprises me. Chuck is also a very honest and upstanding guy and I think you will be very satisfied with this car. Congrats!

Now you have Rick's support. Here is what I have learned .

Great cars can be bought at value.
This owner is one stand up guy.
It is amazing how much it changes things with a bench / 4 speed over column /auto
This is the greatest site with the best participants anywhere.
Tri just knocked it out of the park on this one.

Now if the Saints will just kik his niners ass.

I'm actually rooting for the Saints too, with how much NOLA has gone through and how stand up man Drew Brees is. Besides, I have been a Raiders fan since 1975 so I have suffered a long time around all the 49ers supporters.

So what did you pay for it!

Wow... pretty assumptious to ask what he paid. MYOB comes to mind. That info is really privvy to Tri and Chuck.

If Tri chooses to elaborate, that's his prerogative.

Congrats on the purchase, Tri. I concur, Chuck's a stand-up guy.

IDK why people are afraid to tell others what they paid for it. I mean at car shows people will come up to you and ask how much you got it for and what are you gonna do walk away? JMO but you need to grow up if you wont tell others what you paid. Telling people is important because its a reference to others who are looking to buy the same thing like Mike. I have no problem telling others what I paid for my car.

That's because your car is on your driveway.

Once the car is delivered, he'll probably be willing to tell you.

Patience.

Thats a good point but actually my car is on the other side of town at a buddies house and I have his 71 cutlass in my garage for the next few months.

You know this car entered as a WIW. Almost immediately it came to me and some others. The OP went to Mike and the owner directly with the most important question. What will it take to buy the car. Then it came back to me. I told him to get agressive about buying the car. Screw the auction. In a short period of time a deposit was on the car. Crap guys, in Texas that is how you seperate the Cowboys from the Cowgirls.

The parties involved owe nobody any more than what has been posted. That is the reason they call it business. Jay I hate to tell you but you will find the person that needs to grow up looking rite back at you in the mirror. This deal here is where the big boys play.

I am just humbled to have gained the trust of the buyer and Mike.
