Wow is the only word that I can think of when I look at that car. At least $80k.

Not sure how much more you could ask for and you get Mikes help with it. I think you could buy this car based on what he told you.

OK Mike.................What does it take to buy the car?

I know it can be bought for far less than it took to restore it. Im waiting for Tri to call me.

Mike, Would a block casting date of Aug or Sep be in a 1970 or a 1971? Seems like alot of separation between dates on frame, block and axle.
Beautiful car regardless. My oldest brother had a 70 454SS in that color that he left the church in after his wedding. His had white bench interior and same 4sdp stick. Only pics the family has of it is him and her leaving the church.

The casting date looks to me like B 9 70 which would be February 9, 1970 which would work for the late March body date. Block casting dates always included the calendar year of the casting and, if what I've read from several people on here is true, a 1970 casting year is always depicted as 70 where other years only have a single digit (like 1 for 1971, 2 for 1972, etc.).

DaleM, My bad, you are correct. I misread it as 8-9-70. Tis a "B" instead of an "8". Thanks for the clearup.
Was curious because my "512" block is casting date of June 69. Is a CE code so I wonder if it was replaced into a late year 69 or a early 70. Wish it could talk.
Still, gotta dig that blue 70SS. Guess I'll always be behind in this game.
