Wow, car looks awesome. I am at the block sanding the primer stage right now myself. I am hoping to have the color (PPG Single Stage Black) shot on mine by Thanksgiving. (crossing my fingers for good luck)
It's posts like yours that keep me coming back. It motovates me and gives me hope.

I used the mix that Classic Performance & Restoration had on this forum.
Dupont Chromabase BC 4850K Marina Blue.
Dang! Now im wondering if i should stick with Marina Blue or go with that 1999 Corvette Blue i wanted to go with.....Man that looks good.

So which forum did you get the information for the paint? Classic Performance and REstoration ....Was that a post? Sponsor?

Herb is the Marina Blue expert on this forum. got all the info from him, Thanks Herb!!
My Dupont supplier does mix by hand and Herb suggest that it's better to have it computer mixed, but I think it came out nice. My body guy bitched the whole time about using Dupont and didn't believe me that PPG could not mix marina blue, until he called and asked.
And thanks to all the people on this forum that help (If you know it or not) this forum has a wealth of info.

Excellent choice of color. One of my favorite colors. Used the exact Marina Blue code on my 71 4 yrs ago. The color in the sun can't be missed going down the street with a bright GLOW
