I think it will bring at least $700-$800. The radio holes appear to not be cut...it has a complete harness Floor shift speedo, and the radio. I was watching it was going to bid at the end if the price stayed down...not likely though. The tach redlines at 5000 so that sort of hurts it some.

At least, maybe more. It is complete.
I look at it this way...it comes down to three main parts: an uncut '72 housing is worth $300, an untested 71-72 cluster is worth $300, and a '72 gauge wire harness is worth $100.

If it were an uncut '70 housing, you could get $600-$700 just for the housing, if it was a '70 gauge cluster (even untested) you could get $400-$500 depending on the redline, and the harness might be worth a little more, but '72's just aren't as hard to find because they were the same as the Monte Carlo dashes...that's why I say $700. Anymore than that, and you'll have to sit on it until the right buyer comes along.

I don't know where you get your prices for 72 stuff but I see them go for much higher...I agree not as High as the 70 stiuff but much more than $300 for an uncut housing since they aren't reproduced.Seen one go for $600 last summer. (although there might have been something fishy there as a month later same seller had same dash for sale again)
and A used uncut Tach gauge harness go for over $250 on ebay. The cluster anywhere from $300-$450. These prices I base on what they were going for last summer on ebay as I was putting mine together from ebay.

The seller must have sold the dash outside of ebay because the listing ended very early ,....don't know what it sold for but I was gonna bid. Oh well. I have one already but the radio towers are cut.

question.....Is it correct for the seatbelt light to be painted silver around it?I always thought so but then I saw a dash that was restored by a pro that wasn't. Just curious.

That dash is out of a 72 Monte no highlighted letters, someone has cleaned the adhesive off of it and has either cleaned the black paint off of it or it wore with the metal face of the monte wood overlay. It could of been touched up as well. It should not be highlited. Jim

I've seen uncut housings priced higher, but I don't see very many of them sell at the higher prices. A virgin housing will occasionally sell for more, but usually only when the buyer is desperate. A few years ago, they were selling for $400-$500, but not now.

As far as clusters, I have ten untested '71-'72 small block clusters I'd be happy to sell for $300 each. I watch Ebay all the time, and I never see them bring more than $300 unless they are restored. Someone would be crazy to pay more than $300 for a used cluster that wasn't tested. Circuit boards are $75, the small gauges are $75 each (repro or repaired), tachs are $150-$200 (repro or repaired), quartz clock conversions are $125. I have yet to see a used cluster that doesn't need a circuit board, amp gauge, and clock repair... and that's $275. I see restored 5K clusters for sale for $600...why would you spend $450 for a used cluster, then have to put at least $275 into it when you could buy a fresh unit for $600.

Again, I watch Ebay and I never see the '72 gauge harnesses sell for more than $150 unless they are restored. I have several in "take out" condition that I would sell for $150 each.

When you have a package deal like this, you're not going to get top dollar for every part.

I wish I had known because I gave $250 for a harness on ebay and there were several bidders...but it took awhile to find a 72 and a new one is $400....so I thought I had better get it. It appears to be perfect.

I gave $300 for the gauge cluster so it sounds like I did half decent there.I paid $100 for the dash but the radio towers are trimmed. I have some of those cups that mount the radio. The dash came with a 70 warning light cluster that I sold for $150 so the dash was free basically.

What is your opinion of the repop clusters that are all over ebay?
