Very cool car! Should put some steel wheels on it for the street would be one heck of sleeper......until you started it.

Unfortunately we live in different towns. I got the photos from our Headsup NW web site.

So I don't know anything more than you all can see in the photos.

I'm sure it will pound the ground when done. Hope he can hook it up!

I doubt it's been on a dyno. I should give him a call. He is a heck of a nice guy.

AWESOME motor!

What does that car weigh?

Did he go 9.0 with out the spray? I would think a 540 could.

Just as an example my buddys GS 460ci Buick went 9.12/147 N/A.

Granted it has plastic windows, fiber hood, deck lid, and prolly doors. I'm not sure about the doors tho.
I would think they are close in weight tho.

I'm NOT saying that the car by no means is slow.

Just curious.

He went 9.0's on the spray. He hit the 9.40's NA.
As far as I can remember, he had trouble hitting anything in the 1.4's for short times.

I'll try to find some videos.

This thing is going to be interesting. I'll tell you, he has no fear of the car.

I'm callin shenanigans on those 307 emblems!
I don't get the whole sleeper thing. Its a car that looks slow but is really fast? How about a car that looks fast and IS fast?

Agreed. I'll take that 632 with the fogger anyday over small block turbo car. I want my car to shake and sound radical. I could care less if the turbo would run as fast and get 19 mpg on pump gas.

I spoke with him tonight. We haven't talked in quite some time.
Neither of us have raced since July of 08.

He bought the parts and assembled himself. Heads are what he had on the 540....Brodix 385? don't know. He had them ported but thinks they are a bit small for the 632.

He will be using a rack and pinion steering. Hopes to be out by April here in Orygun, weather permitting, which is always a crap shoot.

This car is not meant to be a sleeper, although it has that look. It is not a street car. It used to weigh 3600+.

Original paint btw.......

He is hoping for 8.90 on the motor and spray it from there.

Why can't I edit my orig post?

Ron, thanks for the update on this guy's car. Very interesting to say the least. BTW, you cannot edit your original post because it's been more than 12 hours ago that you posted it. Anything after 12 hours is written in stone here, because in that case, you no longer have editing access to it.

And it doesn't surprise me that he's going with a rack& pinion steering set up because of what I had mentioned about 632 engines in the last line I wrote in post#15.

Ron, where's he gonna run it...PIR (they still run there?) or Woodburn....

8.90's may be a tall order on the engine alone. Good luck though and tell him nice car.

Woodburn is a very nice track.

I saw a pic of this car on yellowbullet with no engine , I like the way it looks that green paint is cool . Mabe you could talk him in to posting here so we can see how it go's . The main reason I did not go with a 632 is I figured it would be hard to get that stroke down track so I went with a smaller engine . A few things I did to help me get down track is the higher gr in the 3 speed trans and soon a msd box to pull timing and add it back down track . The 3rd thing I would like to try is a 3.90 gr to replace the 4.11s . In my op that is a very interesting car.
