I know this is a pretty dumb ques., but i want to buy a 71-72 chevelle to restore, but i need to know how long it is to know if it will fit in my garage? I cant find it on the web anywhere. Does anyone know?

p.s.--does anyone by chance know how long a 69 camaro is?

Right around 16'...just went through this to get a car sideways in the back of my garage for the winter, and still have room for the 70 to park normally...amazing that a 70-72 chevelle is longer than a 4 door blazer!

Just measured my 69 for a cover. 16 1/2 feet. Roughly.
My rule of thumb is, if you have to wonder if it will fit in your garage, your garage is too samll.

I believe that how long is a Chinese Gentleman, not a Chevelle!

Gorbe,
Obviously not big enough if I gotta stick a car sideways in it! More bays coming in the spring

Mine BARELY fits in my current garage, and it would not close if it actually had a door. It fit by three inches in my dad's garage, where a 92 Camry has a comfortable 18" of clearance.

Well according to the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle owners manual, a 1970 Chevrolet A body is:

El Camino: 207.9" long
Wagon 212.9" Long
4 Dr. Sedan/Sport Sedan 201.2" Long
2 Dr. Coupe and Convertible 197.2" Long

75.4" Wide

Do you know anyone with a Monte SS or a Cutlass from the 80's? Have them park in your garage and see if they can fit.

My friends 85 Monte SS has a harder time fitting in my garage than my 67' Chevelle. Width is a whole other game.

If that car can fit, you have no problem

My garage looks "naked" with my 82 Cutlass parked in it
