Bumper guards

my 65 ss has vertical bumper guards in front and back...none of the 65s that I have seen on here have these guards and I was curious if they are correct for my car or if my bumpers have been changed? TIA for the help.

Are those the same bumper guards your car has?? If they are then yep, they're stock. From what I've heard they aren't too prevelant on the early cars.
The bottom link on the page, "Pictures of my car from when I first brought it home" has the good pix of the front and rear of the car. Also my 64 had them too, if you click on the pic of my 64 then changes 64old1.jpg to 64old2.jpg -->4.jpg you can see the bumper guards on that too.

Yep Steve those are the ones....yours is the only one I have seen them on so far other than mine....although I have owned a 65 for about 24 hours so I am by no means an expert....

I was just curious if someone had hacked them on or if they were original....My car has the following options:

2spd wiper motor
Remote drivers side mirror
No AC
4spd
Malibu SS package
PSteering
Manual drum brakes
10 bolt single trac rear
Bucket seats
Center console
Factory clock in the center of the dash
AM radio

I think thats it.

I don't think they are. I sold the 64 quite a while ago now so my memory may not be best, but I think the 64's were skinier, flatter and taller then the 65's. The 65s seem shorter and more round then the 64's were.
