I have a 70 elke 350 250HP 2bbl Saginaw 4speed 10 bolt 3:36 open, question I was under the chassis today, it has a 3/8" fuel line on it. Was a larger fuel line available as an option? I was kinda shocked to see it. The elke is numbers matching, and I couldn't figure out why this size line would be installed. Any comments on this? Jim

Anything from the factory was possible. I don't think there was an option on the size of fuel line. Of course the high perf cars had the larger fuel lines and the engine you have is not considered high perf. So either it has been replaced by someone or for some reason the factory had the larger fuel line sitting there on the assembly line and it was installed on your car. Stranger things have happened.

One other thought. Sometimes trucks had the larger fuel line and Elky's are considered trucks by many people, even by Chevy. I'm not sure if all Elky's came with 3/8's fuel line just because it is considered a truck. Maybe someone else has more info on this. Just be glad you have the large fuel line!!
