polishing stainless

I have a few pieces of stainless off of my 67 that needs redone.Does anyone know someone good to send it to.I have the trim around the front and rear windows,headlight bezels,and the trim around the doors on the insinde for the headliner.I would much rather have them redone than buy repo stuff.any help would be great.Thanks

Some of the pieces you want to buff are aniodized aluminum namely the head light bezels and the inside trim. You can buff the windshield trim, drip rail trim, and weatherstrip retainers since they are stainless steel.

Aren't the drip rail moldings aluminum? I know '66's are.

That drip rial material issue has been discussed before and all I know is that every 60's Chevy in my garage has stainless steel drip rail moldings...67 Chevelle, 68 camaro, 65 Corvair. I know because I've removed them and buffed them. They are way to heavy and hard to be aluminum. I guess they came both ways. My 67 Chevelle currently has repop aluminum drip rails on it since my original stainless was gone.

I've owned a Chevelle of some type since I started driving 35+ years. My first one was a 66 back then it was just considered and old car. I've had numerous Chevelle over the years and have repaired or restored countless others, I've never seen a 66 or 67 Chevelle with stainless steel drip rail Mldgs. Only stainless trim on 66/67 Front and back glass reveal mouldiings, Roof rail weatherstrip retainers and vent glass division bar.

I had some hard to find wagon drip edge moldings that were damaged while removing them from a J-yard donor. After searching this site extensively I sent them to Rodney at Stainless Trim Works http://www.stainlesstrim.com. They came back better than I could have expected.
