I just bought a mechanical fuel pump from holley that puts out 110 GPH because my stock pump wasnt up for the task...I have a mild 350 and when I get on it and take it to 4500-5000 it still starts to cut out a bit, but only in 2nd gear.. any ideas?

Look for kinks in the line. Also, it is possble for the fuel pump to suck air through a pin hole in the fuel line small enough that fuel will not leak out. The sock in the tank could be plugged. Fuel filter clean?
new fuel filter, new sending unit so everything is basically new.. and so Im sure that the sock is clean... just replaced fuel line......any other things I should look for?
I've put a brand new Holley mech pump on and it was defective right out of the box. It would not pull any fuel from the tank or hold a prime after I primed it. Sent it back to Holley and they replaced it.
