Doing head bolts with black ARP bolts.ARP says 65lbs with lube and 80 with oil. What do you like best?I also have Permatex Ultra Slick is this stuff the same as ARP's lube? Ever try Pematex high temp thread sealer for the head bolts? The Permatex tech line guy recommended this sealer. He says after 4 hrs. if retorquing you have to apply new sealer. How necassary is it to retourque. Have been told its not needed, using Fel Pro 1037's on a 402 with iron heads. Thanks Steve

Steve,
I have never used the Permatex "high temp" sealer, just thier regular Teflon thread sealer. I use the same spec that ARP lists for thier thread sealer. You should be ok without re-torquing on a street engine.

Got the Arp bolts and went and got the Arp thread sealer and assembly lube. Figured I stick with the Arp system. If threads were to leak how would you tell? Thanks Steve
