I got there around 5. I was one of the first to "hammer it a little" in front of Rockys. I ran first and second out a ways. Crowd loved it.
I just got off the phone with one of the Motorcycle cops. He is a good friend of mine. He hooked 1 car last night. It was a black Camaro. The driver did a huge burnout in the curb lane, shot around the car in the inside lane, ended up in the turn lane, headed directley at both cops on thier bikes. He was out of control. I would have hooked him too. The cops will not say much for a small "light em up", but a full on burnout WILL attract thier attention. There were 2 other cars that got hooked for similar stupidity last night and the idiots that had the Street fight around Atherton Rd went to jail too.

How many tickets did yer BUDDY on the bike give out...... I seen him pull over a guy in a yellow lemans and he had the ticket book out ,, and the guy bareley cracked the tires.....
The 2 cops on the bikes wer out for REVENUE makin for sure....Id like to know exactley what ticket that guy got !!! IF THEY WANT TO GIVE TICKETS how bout handin a few the the dumb ass people who jump rite out in traffic and try to get ya to stop !!!!

And if he sia good friend of yers .. you dont have to worry,,, cuzz yer ticket will get thrown out if ya get one,, and ya know it...

Every ticket I ever got, I deserved it and I paid it without bitching or trying to get it reduced. And I haven't had one in 30 or so years. If someone gets a ticket down there, I would guess they deserve it.
Ya know the City is in one hell of a fincial meltdown, so they may be looking to make a few bucks by writing tickets. Seems like they would have the whole force writing though, not just a couple.

I agree with Tony, everytime I do something like that and not get a ticket I feel I got away with it, then when I do get a ticket I deserved it. As of date, I'm ahead since I have not had a ticket in 10 years.

I thought the cops were real cool yesterday, just some people were getting out of line as usual and spoil it for everyone else.

As they say, if you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Ric, Tony,

Thanks for the heads-up on Back To The Bricks! Got there about 8:30 this morning and got home around 6:30. What a nice event. Flint, the sponsors and the volunteers should be proud.

Called Ric on the way up, turned out he was 2 miles ahead on 23 so he pulled over and waited for us. We parked together and spent the day walking around, sitting, bull sh**ting. Like I said, very nice day. Reminded me a lot of the Big Block Party in Frankenmuth during Autofest.

Man, I can't believe I missed you guys. I was there from 6:30 AM until 7:pM. I tried to call Ric, but I had his number wrong. I was in the Vendor lot almost all day. Did you guys watch the engine that was on the stand run? The BB with the zoomies on it? That was us. The band guys came over and had me put the Nomad in the center of the parking lot so they could get a bunch of pictures of them and the car. Their name is the "Nomads". Cops had to shut down Saginaw street Friday night due to the idiots.

Anyone have pics of the event ? May consider this one over Woodward next year and I live within walking distance of Woodward..

My wife took some, but I can't post them. I can email them to someone when she gets them on her computer, then sends them to my computer.

There are some photos at http://popmodphoto.com/ then go to events and planning and password is bricks. My chevelle is in there, its the one with the Yellow GSX in it as well. Some nice pics. I guarantee you would like it there, it's a lot more layed back.

Next year I will get a club parking spot so we can all be together.

I took Saginaw St all the way back to Grand Blanc and the road was covered with burnout marks everywhere. All the bars still had there outside patios set up and people where watching as well as people in lawn chairs along along the route in Flint and Burton.

Wow.
Sounds like there was ALOT of burnin rubber goin on over there in Flint. There was a West wind on Saturday. I thought I smelled some burnt rubber in the air. :D
I think I'm going to put Cruisin the Bricks on my list of things to do next year.

You'd need a EAST wind to smell the smoke in Zeeland!:D

Brian,

Like I said, the Frankenmuth Big Block Party only bigger. They direct the cars there for the show to parking. Streets are blocked off and you walk and check out all the nice cars. Really nice show, we had a great day.

See you in few weeks, looking forward to Autofest. Our little corner is expanding. With Dave Birdwell and if Tony joins us again, hope he does, we're up to 5 members.

It would be nice of we had a Team Chevelle banner or poster to use for pictures. :D

Cross your fingers and hope no one decides to park in our spot.;)
Looking forward to the show!!:hurray:
