Thinking of selling my LS6 chevelle 4 speed car. No motor or trans but documented with buildsheet and owner hsitory. Have a motor to go with it but not built. I spared no expense on this deal. What do you think it is worth? Business is more important than the cars right now.

That would be a rare car, Fathom Green...that was a 69 color.... :D

Over $60k and still no engine or trans?

Without the original engine, or trans, I really can't see it bringing much of a premium over a base Super Sport Chevelle.

That's just my oppinion though. However little it means.

I will get some photos of it. Right now it is going through the final cut and buff. If you ever saw my yenko chevelle Chuck Huber did that should say alot about the quality of resto that has been done. I do all my cars top notch and that is what I prefer. I have had many without the original motor or tranny but with solid docs and they have held strong. I am
not looking to make a home run or anything. If it sells ok if not ok no big deal. I have alot of respect for the guys on here that is why I asked being the market is so crazy right now.

With out the Org. Engine and M-22 or T-400 It can not be a documented LS-6. I may be wrong, But I see the car as another 70-SS, I would guess with-out The ORG. driveline. The body would not bring in ,,,,LS-6 money. JMO

Well, that's where you might be all wet. If he's got a real build sheet, it's still an LS6, with or without the engine. It will still do good money, but not as good as a numbers matching car.

As the guy from Men's Wearhouse says, "I guarantee it.... "

The biggest thing it has going against it, is the Green on Green combo...

Have to disagree with the original drivetrain aspect that it will not bring good money. The last LS6 I did brought 135k and it was missing the motor and trans but was a triple black car with 3 build sheets 1 owner car. My Copo chevelle did not have the original DT but was documented by Ed Keneen and it held up well because it had pedigree. Green is kind of a down fall but it does represent the color of money LOL! If it was for sale for
35-45k would you buy it with a legit buildsheet that has been verified? Put 10-15k in it and have a date coded correct car? Answer is probably yes.
