Intresting. I always thought it was part of the Z/28 option. Learned something new today.Approx. 80% of '69 Zs were flat hood cars, early or not. Well, at least originally. 30,000 of the 20,302 built now have one!!!
Exactly right. Flat hood was standard. Cowl hood was an option. When I was a kid (early 80's), there was a 69 Z/28 that sat in aguy's front yard for a number of years. This was before the cloning craze. It had a flat hood. It did have the 302 and the four speed. I checked back every so often offering to buy it but the guy wouldn't sell it. Supposedly he was a Viet Nam vet who bought the car when he came home. He was still living with his mother. The car sat for close to 20 years. I moved away and on one of my trips back home to visit the parents I noticed the car was gone.My Z28 as most came with the flat hood. Zl2 (cowl) hood was a big seller at Gm parts dept s . gary
