It looks to me, like the 66 was in the wrong?
Taken from 2005 Gasser Reunion at the Thompson, Ohio Drag Strip.

Why was the truck backing up though? Theres no way he was too far forward to properly stage. Whos to say someone didnt wave the Chevelle up either?

Truck was wrong. That's why they post sings no backing up after burnout...Truck driver was in the wrong hands down. I would of cleaned his clock right there with a 5 of clubs ! ! I know the drag strip personally.

Really!!! Because watching the full video. The 66 was trying to get to the other lane. The other lane traffic has it's own entrance. No need to pass behind the truck.

The truck was wrong....you don't back up after a burnout. period. unless you're top fuel of course.

Explain please how its the 66s fault. There is one staging lane to get to the tree.

your wrong Mike I have raced there aswell and there is only oneside to enter for both lanes. the truck was wrong you are supposed to pull forward after the burn out not back up.

Went back and viewed the video again. Your right, there is only one lane. There is another lane but they block it with a small tractor. The lane that the truck was in looks like the pit side. Nice looking old track. Love to go there some time. Love to see a Gasser Reunion. :yes:
