I need some input!I need to put together a fuel system for my new engine, specs below. Here is what I know I was told to use a 750 carb.I want to go with holley. For fuel pump I want to go with a carter (which one). For my setup should I go mech or vac secondaries.?Double pump? What about the 770 street avenger if vac secondaries are the choice? When is a regulator needed? Will my stock fuel supply line,5/16? work or not?Lastly what is the best bracket/way to set up throttle cable and tranny kickdown cable and carb return springs?I made it this far and have learned alot building the engine I dont want to slow down now and I want to order this stuff yesterday! Thanks guys if you can help with some advice here.:hurray::thumbsup:

If your motor setup is same as in your signature the stock fuel supply line is fine for the very mild 214 deg @.05 dur cam you have in your 468 BBC .

But i would opt to remove the slightly resctrictive in carb bronze type fuel filters and run a large hi flow inline fuel filter.

Since you want to run a Carter f-pump i would opt for the milder 5-6 psi pump or is it 6-7psi street perf pump ,chk summit /jegs for details on that.
I feel the Carter mech f-pumps are a good quality pump with more then enough to handle your mild bbc setup. I ran that mild Carter perf pump a few yrs back on my 396 that had consedrably more cam then your motor does & it hadled fuel delivery fine to 6k rpm with the stock smaller sized fuel line like your running too with 3.31 gear with M20 Muncie.

The holley 770 cfm avenger in vac sec trim would be best for the auto trans & 3.31 gear you have.

Dbl pump setup right would likely hit harder when you jump on it but it would also likely use more fuel and have richer idle cricut too then a 770 avenger with vac sec so a dbl pumper by design isnt as good for a street setup. But good tuning of a dbl pumper can make it work ok on the street too if you(or a buddy) have the patience and or experience/ability to properly tuning a dbl pumper for best street perf & fuel economy.

A holley 3310 vac sec 750 would be fine too.

Trick with vac sec carbs is to get the secondaries to open as fast as possible to the point of if they opened any faster the motor would have a slight bog untill the fuel delivery to the secondaries was in full swing. And if you dont play with the sec springs to achieve that often the vac sec dont open all the way or they arrent fully open untill the motor is almost all played out/at or close to top end power/top end rpm reducung over power when comming up thru the rpms when at WOT.
