I guys I was wondering if any one knows if the aftermarket "stock looking ss rallys" for a 70 ss 15x10's will fit on my 70 chevelle in the rear. I was thinking of putting bfg's 295/50-15. I beleive the wheel has a 5.5 back spacing. let me know if you guys have any ideas. Thanks

Yes, they will fit. I have that same combo on my 70 with very little interference problems. If I sit 4 people in the car and go up a driveway crooked it will slightly scrape. Other than that, you should be good to go.

Just my personal opinion...but very little problem for one car may be a little more of a problem for another car. These cars build specifictions are not so precision that borderline on one car will be the exactly same on another... maybe but is it worth the risk? That would be your call but for me I don't want any chance of rubbing under any circumstances so I would opt for for one size smaller (P275's) and I would go with a 60 series tire on an 8" rim with 4.5" bs........but that is just me.

Good luck,

Robert

I know there are some guys here that are running 325/50s on the 15x10s. I'd sure love to run those on my 71, but I think when my 275s wear out, I'll probably go with 295/60s...see how they look and hook.

I was going to start a post but this is darn similar. A more detailed question that is somewhat overlooked. 295/50's are what I am going to run. What brand though? I was going to get the BF GOODS, But recently I put some Yokohomas on the front to get by for a while until the new wheels and I kind of like them. The yoko's in 295/50's are a better price, wondering about the performance though.

Im buying tires tommorow, still no love hm?

Im going to just snag a set of BFG 295/50's from my work then. Although im not too fond of the look of the tred, maybe they'll look good on.
:D
