Has annyone ever repaired a 69 or 70 mirror that's loose on the ball? I'd rather keep what I have than to buy aftermarket.

I had this problem on my drivers side mirror on my 68'.I removed it and put a little loctite (red-high strenght) around the swivel ball,moved the mirror aroung the ball(to seep into the socket),reinstalled it,ajusted the mirror to where I wanted it,and let dry overnight.The end!

Yep,You may want to clean the swivel ball with a little lacquer thinner or rubbing alcohol first and blow dry.It will make the loctite bond better.
