I just got done replacing the rear air shocks on the back on of a 98 Riviera, and the back of the car is sitting way too high. The car has a compressor in the back passenger rear 1/4 which is supposed to regulate the amount of air in the back. Does anyone know how I can adjust the pressure rate to bring the rear end down? I like the rake but I don't believe the owner will. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks for all of your help! I appreciate it.

I don't know about Buicks, but some Lincolns that had air suspension had a linear sensor on the suspension that told the car how high it was, so the compressor would know when to go on or off. Is it possible the Buick has something similar that may have gotten knocked around or unplugged?

Similar to the Bonneville (I think)-should have an attachment on the rear suspension to a 'level sensor', it may be broken or disconnected.

Mike,
If it is like my Wife's 84, there is a sensor with a link to the rear suspension. When it is too low, it activates the pump to raise it up. If it is too high, there is a relay that releases pressure to lower it. You probably will need to find a service manual to figure it out. In that new of a car, it might be controlled through the BCM and you might need a scanner to reset/check it.

I wanted to say THANK YOU for all of those who replied. You gave me a place to start looking for something wrong.
Thank You gentleman, I appreciate the help!

I owend the same car. The rod on rear hight sensor came off and sensor kept thinking rear was low. Good car 3.8 supercharged. Sold it with almost 100k on it. In all that time all I ever changed besides oil and filters was the belts and a couple of pulleys.

Mike,
Thank you for your help and everyone else too. I think its a good car too. That 3.8L is not a barn burner by any means but that thing goes. It pulls pretty good up to 6 grand.
