anyone have any alternatives to the TT2's and the C5 coys wheels?
i just got off the phone with coys and they said the 17x9.5 isnt out yet, and the C55 (which is what i wanted) is being redesigned and they didnt have any more of the 17x9.5, and none wont be available for another 3-4 months.

Does anyone know of an alternative to a 5spoke wheel in 17x9 or 9.5 with about 5.5"bs for under 200each that looks similar to the C5 or C55 or TT2?
i need to get my car back on the road asap, and rims are the only thing holding me back.

dont make me buy cragar soft 8's please.. haha.

i would purchase a set of Billet Specialties Stree Lites in a heart beat if they were offered in 17" diameter.

thanks

i forgot to add..
i need a wheel that has the most amount of room to clear C5 calipers on the front..

i thought i found a set of Boyd Smoothie 2's for 800 with tires, but they are 17x8.5 and i dont think it has enough bs for what i need, and also read on here they need 3/4" spacer for C5 calipers..

Just an idea...

At $200 per wheel your budget is about $800 for wheels.

Buy the Cragar Soft 8's at what $75 per wheel? Total $300.

Buy tires in the sizes u wanna run on your final wheels.

That will get your car running again.

With the remainder of the $800 budget... buy $500 in the Billet Specialties wheels.

Save a little more and then buy the remainder of the Billet Specialties wheels.

Sell off the Cragar's for like $200 to offset the cost.

Or, if you don't absolutely need the car running... just save and buy the wheels you WANT.

I still kick myself to this day for buying the TT II's. I needed wheels and had $1k to spend. Not that the TT II's are bad, but what I really wanted was Intro Vista's. They were like ~$1600 at the time. Should have just saved :clonk:

they are very nice, but 340 is just too much per wheel.

im going to look for the C-55's from somewhere. if i cant find them, i might as well just get the soft 8's.

thanks guys.

How about the BOSS wheels? 338's are pretty good looking, and priced right but they only come in a 5 inch backspace on a 9.5 inch wheel.

Doh, to edit those are 18" only so you would have to upsize :)

it just sucks that i can only afford 175ea.

im going to order the summit star wheels so i can drive it, plus i need a rim for my drag radials.
then i will sell my ta, and the my current nugget wheels, and buy ones i want.

thanks

"I believe eagle alloys makes a knock off of the TT2s. I can't comment on their quality or space to clear C5 brakes though."

I had these (I think they are the 211 model) and they were pretty nice actually and very close to the TT2s, not sure on the pricing though as they were on the car when I got it. I ended up selling them since they were 17x8s all around. When I go back to 17's, I want at least 9.5's in the back. The rockets look pretty nice...
