My uncle had a 67 Galaxy with the same motor. It was a 4 speed car. That had to be the most powwerful factory muscle car I've ever seen. That's easy. The 1967 Ford Fairlane 427 DOHC. It was pure evil. The 67 L-88 Corvette is a super close second. Zero to 60 in four seconds flat in 1st gear is quite a ride.
x 2, w/o a doubt, anything with the 426 Hemi.. period68 Dart or cuda with the 426.
An A12 Super Bee. For those that don't know that code off hand it would be a 69 model Dodge Super Bee fitted with a 440 + 6, hemi 4 speed trans, and a Dana 60 rear axle fitted with a sure grip differential and 4.10 gears as well as a fiberglass lift off hood, black steel wheels. A no frills factory race car.
a12 roadrunners/superbees
 IMO They didn't have the good looks of the Chevrolet's of the day, but for anyone who has ever run one of these cars at the track, they were/are fast! :yes:Agreed!
It was actually 510 ft/lbs! I'd have to say the A12 Mopars as well or the '70 Buick GS Stage 1, with the L88 ' Vette as a 'ringer'.come on folks....got to be the 450hp '70 LS6 chevelle !!! we are talking factory right ?
the '70 455 buick GS III I believe had the highest torque rating of any factory motor though...500 ft/lb
