Built ford tuff with Chevy stuff :D I guess you could call it thinking outside the fox(body) too :D

Usually projects like that cost more than they are worth and are done by folks just to get diehard brand lovers panties in a big knot. It usually works too :D

I always hated cross bred cars! (between manufacturers) although one of the fastest cars around here for a while was a Mustang with a 383 stroker!
And your right! He only built it to screw with the Ford guys! (Mustangs were big around here):D

Best of both worlds in my opinion, but I wouldn't cross breed. I was tempted once to put my 455 from my GTO/Ventura in my Chevelle, but Chuck came through for me.

I would paint that intake (if possible) and blend it with the paint of the car.

I like it and I guarantee it's fast as hell too...obviously. I'm sure he catches it from the Chevy and Ford guys.

There was a guy here at the track a few years ago that had a 383 in his Mustang. Had this great sticker in the back window:

THE ONLY WAY TO GET A FORD TO RUN

PUT A CHEVY ENGINE IN IT

Back in '71 a buddy and I were at the Springnationals at National Trail. We saw a mustang in M/P that said on the rear "A REAL BOSS 302". Yep it had a DZ motor in it, ran pretty good too!

I put a chevy 305HO with a B&M 144 mini blower in a 88 ford ranger just to prove I could wasnt to get a rise from the purists just wanted to prove I had the skills to do it.
