I love the Mist Green! Here is my junker: Medium Metallic Green with Black stripes and cowl hood. As you can see from the pic the cowl hood does not fit all that well. This pic was taken before I had dropped in the 505.

Ill try to get you a picture of my Dad's '70 in a couple days when we get it back from paint. Its a custom red that he and the painter mixed up. Ive seen it already and I love it. Guess what....NO STRIPES. lol

Here's my 70 W/O stripes & a CI hood.

And with stripes.

I like them either way, I guess it's up to you. The stripes look more racey but it seems as if every 70-72 has them.

I still prefer black on black SS, no stripes and may do it myself but with the lighter colors and no stripes, no vinyl roof - just one solid scheme and color these cars look much bigger, bordering on huge and it looks odd to me. Just IMHO

I have to make my mind within the next month. I have have changed my mine a few times already. I was decided on silver, but now I am thinking blue...

I am hoping I like the look without stripes.
I am right with you... I can't decide on a color (original Mist Green or a light Blue)... Pretty sure I will NOT have stripes. I can always add them later with minimal hassles (I hope)... Stripes are okay for a resto, but I think they are overdone otherwise...

My big dilemna, is mine is a budget project... I plan of changing the interior to "pearl" eventually, but I can't afford paint and interior at the same time, and I am tired of the old paint... If I go "Blue", I am going to have to live with Green interior for a while (what a combo)... If I go with Green paint, then I can keep the green interior, and later change to Pearl...

Doh!

Every truck and mustang has stripes now
I hate stripes, esp on 69s.
People always come up to me at a car shows and say why don't it have stripes, I reply 69s dont have stripes and I get a blank stare.

WOW!!!!! Thats one sharp car!!!!!! I can't decide which way it looks better!!!!

I say go with the green, but get some depth to it somehow (flake, a few layers of similar shades). It has to be trick, ya know?

Then have an old-school pinstriper give it a subtle hook-up with something that sets it off.

Oh, and it needs cragar super sports and some meaty blackwalls, front and back.

I'd keep it mist green, no stripes, no SS badges, keep the fiber-optics, and go with 17-18" wheels and a super-low stance. :)
I did decide to delete all of the emblems. It will have 17" wheels maybe 17/18s with a low stance. The fiber optics are staying. However I still don;t like light green.

I would keep the fiber optic lamp monitors too! Without a doubt keep um. It's a cool option that is rarely seen.
There staying... now I need to figure out how to repair the cables that have been cut.

Why dont you post a pic so we can see what your car looks like?
Sure.. Here it is. It need to be primed a second time and it can go in the booth for some color. It sucks because I like red!!!

What are fiber optic lamp monitors?

They reflect light from your headlightsand turn signals through a cable that attched to the ordimant on the fender. This allows the driversto see if their lights are working properly from inside the car.
