maybe someone can help me explain this peculiar culture on Team Chevelle where people who have never used a product or service or engine builder come on here and wholeheartedly recommend said to someone, who is probably looking to drop a pretty penny on said p/s/eb

its like a person telling you to vacation in italy because theyve heard its awesome. even though theyve never been

or advising a person to buy a car youve never driven.

Please stop it. its not cool, it makes no sense, its not helpful, and be considered downright unethical.

What instance are you referring to? I am using a MJ 505 shortblock, everyone knows how it performs, provided plenty of info and timeslips, so it would be easy for someone to use that as a referral as to Marks quality of work.

I personally stay away from posts that I know nothing about, but will make references to others that have used said product/service if they are a reliable source.

Do you just enjoy stirring up stuff, or is there a reason behind this post. Unless you give exact examples of what you are talking about, it seems as though you are just trying to make trouble.
X2, word of mouth by trusted TC member as far as im concerned is as good as gold. Team Chevelle has provided me with an abundance of information be it from someone who has tried something or someone who knows someone who has tried something.

A perfect example of what Brian is talking about is the ability to purchase a very nice rotating assembly from a small shop in California that just happens to have some really big guard dogs.

or....that same Brian swapping in some Santhuff springs he heard about from some guy named Bob and he started doing wheelies ;) but anyone once again could have referenced my car and recommended those same springs. Hey...look what they did for Bobs car.

You know it. It's always nice when a just a screen name turns into something that actually works and is based on honesty and admiration for the sport.

Exactly I had never bought parts from Mike Lewis, but have talked to alot of people who have. Then called Mike and he was the genuine article. And what do you know the parts turned out just as everyone said they would...FRIGGIN AWESOME:D

Exactly, but hey I have listened to Bob and he has helped me with my chevelle and everything he has told me worked as he said. Who knows maybe bob is a 3 year old in antarctica but I still trust him.

Yeah, those parts were so nice, it was a shame to get them dirty. I wanted to put them on my Mantle and make them living room decorations.

There will be alot of fast cars on TC next year without a doubt

Almost done with the suspension swap up front. I wonder how much the wheelie was being hurt by the cross shaft being about as bound up as possible without seizing.

Good news draggin bumper next season:D

NEWSFLASH!.....I just acquired some information that Bob West is in fact a 7 year old from New Guinea....they must age fast because I've seen pictures of him and he looks just like Kenny Rogers.

71 chevy, first of all WHO ARE YOU? and where did you come from? and why the sillyness?

PS: your signature is a totally disrespectful, and as long as you continue with it, i personally will not respond to your posts in a respectful manner.

Im not stirring up anything! TC has quite a few active members who recommend stuff or services they have never used.

this is a big board and a lot of people come on here looking for direction/ advice. recommending something one's never actually used is very unethical, and can lead unknowing buyers to make wrong decisions.

all Im saying is, if you know nothing about it, dont recommend it.

It's Ed in disguise, but he liked Bob........ until he went NINE'S
