cocoa Beach Fl

Headed from upstate NY (COLD) to cocoa beach Fla for 2 weeks.
(leaving tomorrow)

Question: Looking for any racing or cool activities down there. Have not intentions of going to Disney etc.. but may check out Garlits museum.

Check out Rusty's up in Canavaral....nice waitresses! My rents have a Condo there.

Oh also get to Kennedy Space Center.

Hope your renting a car because there is NOTHING within walking distance.

Friday nights in the Orlando area they have a great car show every week. Usually just "muscle cars" , but some wks. they have a special show, say ,for just vetts. It's at a place called "old town" on Rt #192 in Kissime.
They set up and display in the afternoons and around 8 o'clock? they take a 360 around the tourist shops and rev it up before they go home. I think its about 200 cars . Free. If you display your car there is a small charge. I'm sure you could get better info. by calling 411 if your interested. Also Orlando Speed World, (Dragstrip).

Just a quick note, or two on Old Town. Friday nights are for post 1974 cars. Saturday nights are for the older cars. There are usually lots of makes and models represented on Saturday...and, I don't think there is any charge for showing a car...at least I've never been charged when I've taken my car on the Saturdays I've gone. As Steve's 67 says, it is a good way to spend the evening...plenty of shops, places to eat, and cars! Here's a link...

I couldnt find any other car shows that are in the dates that you will be in the area. December is kinda of slow because of Christmas. Even from the looks of Old Town it dosent look like their is much going on during the month of December either.
