Hi Guys, As this is my first post I want you all to know that i do not have a chevelle as of right now. Being in college does have its downfall of having no money. Anyway, I always like to think, plan, but mostly dream about what I'd like to do to a future car. With that in mind, I was wondering what the hood clearance is on a 71 chevelle with the cowl hood? I was looking at the 192 blowers made by the blower shop because they seem right between the mini 144 blowers and big 'ol 6-71 blowers. I asked and they said the whole assembly is 12.125" from the valley of the block to the top of the carb. I'm almost positive that it won't fit under the stock hood, I think a 3" cowl hood would be necessary. Any input would be great. Thanks.
