I missed out on all the newer technology. God what I'd give to feel that rush one more time!
I took a ride in a Blackhawk at an exhibition they put on here every year on Armed Forces Day. How ancient our old Hueys seem in contrast. Dinosaur ancestors of the war birds of today.:)

First, another good video ruined with a bunch of crapin' hard rock music. Again, I DO NOT understand why they want to remove, or cover up the sound of the machinery with music. MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE.

Second, Hueys ARE NOT ancient technology. When I was going out in country on medevac flights, this was the NEW technology.

Yes Tom and when I was flying them they were state of the art technology!
Don't get me wrong, I still have a deep love the Huey! It performed excellent and got me and so many others out of some of the most harrowing situations one could ever imagine! But by comparison with the new generation of Helecoptors they are almost ancient technology, unfortunately.
But in their time you could not ask for more!:)
