Ported 049s with small street cam

Say you had 049s with 2.3/1.88s that floewd 295cc on the good intake.

What if you were to run a street HYD FT cam that had 228 / 540 / 112

(Also assume Qjet, exhaust manifolds and GM cast iron intake)

would it be o.k with these heads or would finding a set of stockers be better?

advantages / disadvantages?

But i wana know what other $$$ your putting into your car because I havent seen pictures where there was something wrong with it.:thumbsup:

Going back to 4 speed is the biggie... after that finsh off the interior then the real detailing starts...

Nobody 'round here is racing anymore and to be honest, I miss being able to use the car for long hauls. I want to drive to the canam show in the summer (7+hours 1 way) as well as musclepalooza (5 hrs 1 way).....
