Duct tape when it first came to be in 1942 was originally intended for military use in WWII. The war department needed a strong yet waterproof tape to seal ammunition cases.
And the rest is history...

Thanks JR, but as the article stated," It is true that the US military used superglue to close wounds during the Vietnam War."

It was used on me, but I wasn't concerned at the time what the Corpsman was doing. Hell, I still use it IF the need arises.

brake clean is better than carb clean. As a side bonus this method with either spray helps you find all those little cuts and gouges you didn't know you had. Nothing like a like a little acetone to point up an open wound.

Gasoline and solvent work pretty good too.
