hey......... I've been doing that for years ;)

they stole my Idea

yep combined with a little paper towel they make great band-aids (electric tape too ) l:)

I loved the Red Green Show. That's some funny stuff right there!

It used to be on PBS, but I don't get to watch much TV anymore.

Is it still on here in the States?

I use masking tape. :)

Red Green is still shown in my area... don't know if they're new episodes or not though.

I grew up doing construction work with my Dad. He never was a believer in a first aid kit or even the common band-aid for this line of work. My on the job band-aids were a folded up piece of Dunkin Doughnuts napkin and electrical tape - which was a little bit more flexible and more water proof than duct tape.

That's what I use. It sticks perfectly good fingers together, why not use it for cuts? It's a little warm, but works very well.
problem with crazy glue is it works to well ...... seals in all the garbage

I don't cut myself with hospital clean stuff :noway: seems everything that takes a chuck out of me is covered in grease & sand

My wife is a nurse, and always has alcohol wipes in her pockets when she gets home from work... got a bunch of them in the a drawer of my toolbox.

Ill bet it feels great yanking the bandage off along with all the hair when it comes time to remove it.

Just incase you wanted to know...

http://www.wisegeek.com/can-i-really-use-superglue-to-close-my-wound.htm

Duct tape when it first came to be in 1942 was originally intended for military use in WWII. The war department needed a strong yet waterproof tape to seal ammunition cases.
And the rest is history...
From the article: "...These are thought to help prevent bacteria from forming..."

Don't they have some way to check that?

When I'm in a hurry (which is when I always get injured) I slop some neosporin on there, and close it up with a regular band aid. I have cool sesame street and power rangers ones.

Here's one for the creative youngsters among us: http://www.bestpromdresses.com/prom/2007/06/duct_tape_prom_dresses.html
